My most recent addition (shot yesterday) to my pool series. In this session I was playing around with balls in motion and the effects derrived from different shutter speeds. Hope ya like the results!

Forgot to mention, my goal in this shot was to only capture motion of the cue ball. I tried to capture the cue ball from point of impact with the cue stick until right before impacting with the 8-ball. #213301Patty Razonable February 08, 2005

Terrific action shot, Donald. So, what was the shutterspeed on this one? #1090685S J February 08, 2005
EXCELLENT motition capture, Donald!! Your timing was perfect on this!! I'm hoping to see this again next month, my dear friend!! #1090739Donald K. Cherry February 08, 2005
Thanks a lot everyone!!Wally, the shutter speed I was used for this one was 1/8 sec. The tricky part was that I was doing the shot solely by myself, shooting the cue ball thru the legs of a mini tripod that I machined specifically for this type of shot. Not only did I have to use the self timer and guess when the camera was going to fire, but I also had to judge how hard to hit the cue ball to get all the motion in the shot without contacting the 8-ball until after the completion of the exposure. #1090775
