The Landing [Contest Finalists March 2005]
Uploaded: March 25, 2005 04:49:14
A sequel to yesterday's "takeoff"
This is a resubmit of a finalist from last year that I thought fit the monthly theme.
I watched the gulls landing on a small pond and took several shots to see if I could catch their wing action. This one best captured the frantic flapping to slow down just before landing. It was handheld with a slow shutter speed and relatively small aperture. Overcast rainy day; Sigma 70-300@150mm; f13@1/60 sec.; Iso 400.
