Thanks for the compliments Donna and Jack They are appreciated. there is a story behind this long story short I was leaving on a cruise from san diego and I usually shoot the zoo and the animal park before the cruise and after the cruise I shoot them both again. I am a bird guy so I always talk to the people in charge and while on the 9 day cruise the zoo recieved two new humming birds so the head bird guy when he saw me he said he checked out my website here and now he uses it to teach new bird workers about the birds at the zoo. anyways he told he brought in the photo team which he told me comprises of 8 people they came in twice and could not get pictures of either bird. I trained birds for over 30 years so I went in the bird aviary and within 45 minutes I had over 20 usable pictures of each humming bird. the secret to getting good pictures of birds in an aviary is to go find a bench and watch what the birds do and after 15 minutes or so get up for a bit and take pictures and then start over. being disabled it is easy for me to do because I can't stand in one place to long or move to fast which scares them away.terry #10578412

Dear Photo Friend: I feel that something has changed at Better Photo but cannot tell you just what has happened. I have been here since 2003 and most every month I have written to all the winners telling them how their work touches me. I have witnessed photographs that bring tears to my eyes and colors that are unbelievable, now I am worried that like all good things that it will not be here the next time I look.Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
