A mother Robin feeding her babies. This is a Robin's nest on my window sill. I have enjoyed watching these little guys up close. The shot was taken from inside my house. It took a lot of patience! I had to be very still for a long time so I would not scare the mother bird. I was afraid to move or breathe! The mother would stop and stare me down while holding a mouth full of wiggly worms. At times she would fly away, then return shortly. I just stayed very still. I had to have everything set just right on my camera, because there was no changing anything. I used a 70-200mm 2.8 lens, handheld, manual exposure and focus.
Exif: F Number: 3.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/90 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 640, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 140.00 mm, Model: NIKON D200
