Historical Destruction [Catch All ]
Uploaded: June 04, 2011 07:41:32
Yesterday one of our landmarks in our Rural County in Georgia went up in flames. This church was built in 1909 and I watched it go up in flames with a knot in my stomach and a heavy heart. The sanctuary was destroyed but the miraculous thing is that all the stained glass windows remain intact... although the lead is damaged, it seems they are repairable.

Dana --What a tragedy to have these landmarks destroyed. But your capture is truly dramatic. So glad the stained glass is saved. #1382565

Wow! How terrible it must have been to watch helplessly as the church went up in flames! You did a wonderful job of capturing the fire though with all the black smoke clouds bellowing above the steeple! Fantastic work on this image, Dana! :) #9443753Michelle Alton June 05, 2011
