Springtime in the country
Uploaded: June 01, 2010 06:56:48
Spring storms have benefited the farmers in our area, and the big cumulus clouds have been great to watch. This is a montage of two images, the canola field, and the windmill in the clouds... both are fields around our home and were taken this spring on a similar type of day. This canola will produce seed which is used for canola oil, used in cooking. It is in the mustard family.

I am really impressed with this shot. It's one of those photos that sort of smacks you in the face with its clarity, composition, and colors. Great job of putting the 2 images together. (I've yet to learn that art, and hope to be able to do it someday.) Had to make this one of my favorites! Thanks for submitting it Karen. #8657920Amanda Chapman June 01, 2010

Well, I love 'Go, Cougars' -- such great lines and colors -- but I have to go with this as my favorite of your June entries, Karen. I almost always pick blue and yellow over other color combinations :) and every element of this image is beautiful: sky, windmill, field, colors, clarity, composition. Good luck in the contest. #8732573Chris Budny July 05, 2010
