San Jose City Hall Rotunda
Uploaded: September 13, 2008 06:47:05
The second level of the Richard Meier's $382 million dollar city hall of San Jose, California. This part is the west wing of the R2D2 Rotunda.
I laid on my belly to get this angle . Taken at about 02:22:34 PM when the sun provided the side lighting that created these shadows on the floor that somehow added dimension to the whole picture. Sometimes I wonder if the architect truly intended this for the show.
I rendered it into B&W to give it more contrasting effect between lights and shadows.

Thanks, everyone!Allen, I can tell by your pictures that you go to my most favorite places in the South Bay: Santana Row, Pigeon Point Light House and Downtown San Jose. Actually, I've been looking for some pictures of this Rotunda of San Jose City Hall, but there's none. Perhaps you can go back there and get more pictures of it.
