Sherry - very cool shot! Love the red on this IR shot! #4909918Sherry Karr Adkins October 10, 2007
Thank you Sue for the nice comment. Believe it or not, this is not an IR image. I did this in Photoshop. What is so frustrating is that I didn't jot down my steps, so I can't really tell you how I did it. I have tried to duplicate the steps, but have not quite figured it out. I did this just playing around. I usually write down my steps, but this time I didn't. The History pallette didn't help, either, too many steps. #4910174Aggie Villanueva October 12, 2007
Sherry, this is superb. I can think of no other word for it. It really was worth all the work. To remember my steps in PS I use the "note" tool on the the tool pallette. It's perfect for never losing the notes. And it disappears automatically when you save to jpeg. Great work here. #4915592Sherry Karr Adkins October 12, 2007
Thank you Reginald and Aggie. Thanks Aggie for the suggestion about the notes. My problem is that I ususally have 4 to 5 variations of the image open and play around with them until I come up with the version I like. Most of the time I remember what I did without jotting down the steps. I wish there was a way to save the history pallette and the notes when saved as a jpeg or duplicating the image. #4917019Aggie Villanueva October 12, 2007
I know what you mean. I use a lot of diff versions too. I don't know about the history palatte but the notes are permanently part of your file until you convert from the tiff or PSD file over to jpg. But the extraneous information is automatically deletled in the jpeg. I just go back to my original versions anytime to see what step I took to acheive a certain look. It's a great PS tool. Hope that helps. #4917371Sherry Karr Adkins October 12, 2007
Thanks Aggie. I'll give it a try. #4917533Sherry Karr Adkins November 23, 2007

Great selective color here, Sherry--it's really very eye-catching. I can see why you like it and I do hope we see it again soon. Good luck.

Thank you Kyle for the really nice comment. I was self-taught before I decided to further my education. My best advise is to shoot, shoot, shoot. It also helps to study other photogs. and this site has some really good ones. #5159747Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
