cameras what is a better second hand camera to buy . a canon 1000f or canon 3000 ? and why ?

It really depends on the condition of each, but the 1000F is going to be 14-16 years old, where the 3000 is a newer model no more than 7 years old. Basic features are virtually the same, but the 3000 has improved AF (3 sensors v 1) and evaluative metering (6 segment v. 3).

I don't like the Rebels much for longterm service, especially the older versions or heavily-used examples. The consumer-level internal build shows up after awhile. With secondhand Canon 35mm prices so low these days, perhaps you should consider a nice EOS, 10s, or better Elan body, especially if you plan to use it a lot.
