Meter readings with Kodacolor 100

If I have a meter reading of a person that shows a range of f16 to f2 and am using Kodacolor 100 and need to show the highlights and shadows would an aperture of f5.6 be the best choice? Also the same question except using Kodachrome 64.

f/16 to f/2 dosen't sound right. Even backlit don't have that wide a range.

I am New to photography and this is a true/false question that I have on a quiz. The meter reading is suppose to be of Important Highlights and Shadows.

For Kodacolor 100, somewhere in the middle (f-5.6 or f-8) will give you some detail in the two extremes.

With KR-64,...move the person to somewhere else.

Then I say true for the film, false for the slide.

Is this from the Ritz quiz? I hadn't seen this one before.

Doesn't anyone want to know what makes an SLR different from other cameras? ;-)

That's OK. All are welcome. I even miss old Name Changer.

To Bob C. Thanks for answering my question and sparing me all the BS. This is obviously not the site for an amateur's questions.

There are a lot of us amateurs, Amy. And, we do try to help. But, as I said earlier, read the pamphlet on emposure...

I did, in respond to your unnecessary remark. Nonetheless, for Kodacolor ISO 100, use 4/4 and for Kodakchrome use f/8 [maybe f/6.3.] Re-read pages 15-16 and 19-20.

Right out of the pamphlet. However, it's always best to bracket because any f/stop you use will be a first step [not stop.]
