NJ-NY-PA EyeSights 2008 [B]Guild of Creative Art opens Call for Submittals to EyeSights 2008[/B] Shrewsbury, NJ The highly anticipated EyeSights 2008 call for submittals is now open. The Guild is pleased to announce this year’s expanded competition with prizes and [B]awards in Color and Black & White [/B]categories open to both members and non-members. The distinguished juror and judge for EyeSights 2008 is [B]Mitchell Seidel, Photography columnist for the Star Ledger newspaper and NJ.com[/B]. Mitchell will have the unenviable task of selecting the best of the best to award an estimated $4000.00 prize pool (Total of cash awards and/or in-kind prizes) provided through the generosity of EyeSights 2008 national and regional sponsors including: [LIST] [B]EyeSights 2008, the 5th Annual Open Juried Photography Show and Exhibit[/B], opens to the public March 2nd, 2008. The opening reception and awards ceremony is scheduled Sunday, March 2nd from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Everyone is invited to celebrate the diversity and talent of all of the participants and applaud this year’s prize winners. Prizes and awards including [B]Best-in-Show [/B]will be presented at approximately 4:00pm. Balloting by the public for the [B]“Peoples Choice Award”[/B] will begin March 2nd and continue through the exhibit and sale closing date April 2, 2008. [B]About the Guild of Creative Art[/B] The Guild of Creative Art is a non-profit organization dedicated to the Visual Arts. It is the oldest and largest art community of its kind in the State of New Jersey.
