Hi, Lorraine:

Consider using the blur tool in PhotoShop to soften the edge of the shadow created by the girls nose. It seems too hard and pixelated when compared to the rest of the photo. Set the blur tool to normal and between 10 and 15%.

I think that this would help this photo.

Cheers,
Glenn #449

Thank you, Glenn. I appreciate any advice toward any of my photos. I am new at this and need all the help I can get. I have seen your work and I really like it, so feel free anytime to make any suggestions. I need to hear them and I shall try using the blur tool as suggested. Thanks again. Lorraine F. #667

Hi, Lorraine:

Thank-you for the compliment.

I am glad to see you use the blur tool. I think that it greatly improved the shadow area cast by her nose. See how much softer it made it. The shadow now seems more in place with the sharpness/softness of the photo and the lighting.

I think you did a good job. Do you?

Cheers,

Thanks again, Glenn, Yes, I like the way the blur tool softened the shadow. As always, I appreciate any critique you can give, that is how I am learning. I only had one semester of photo class and am learning the rest on my own, either trial and error, or by reading books. This webb site has been a real blessing to me because it gives me the opportunity to have others help me learn. Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you. Lorraine #692
