Yeh Jeff. I saw that tornado destruction on TV last night. No one hurt I hope? lolDale Hardin May 17, 2013
As always Jeff, you present us with an excellent composition that has a unique and interesting POV. Don't have a title suggestion but would like to see the sky quite a bit brighter. This was obviously shot in full sunlight, so a dark grey sky just doesn't fit. #10697217

I'll be interested to see it with a brighter sky. My guess is that it will be a lot less interesting. #10697312Jeff E Jensen May 17, 2013
Peter - I have no idea how to respond to your comment.Dale - I shot this while you were getting the shot of the umbrellas on the patio. I tried this with the sky lighter, and like Stephen said, it just isn't as interesting. #10697323

I'll concede you are probably right but do believe an 30% screen blend on the building and tree would be. :o) #10697336Beth Spencer May 17, 2013
I like this shot, where did you take this one? #10697697Susan Williams May 17, 2013
I am in love with the bird on the roof. I know this is deliberately composed, but I'd straighten it up and let that bird and the beautiful palm carry the scene. #10697730Debbra Bailey May 17, 2013
I too love the bird on the building :) Took me a minute to see it, but once I did it certainly keeps drawing my eye. The sky doesn't bother me, and I like the angle, although I do agree with Susan that it might work straight too! #10697750Jeff E Jensen May 18, 2013
Here's a straightened version. #10698196Dale Hardin May 18, 2013
You're not going to believe this, but I like the tilted version best. :o) #10698201Stephen Shoff May 18, 2013
While I not enamoured with the tilt in the original, I think the straightened version must have lost too much at the top and bottom.Jeff, do you routinely add a stroke around your images? #10698203
Jeff E Jensen May 18, 2013
Yeah, I prefer the original as well.Stephen - I have room to add more to the top, but not the bottom after the rotation. Adding more to the top doesn't add anything to the image. And, yes, I do add a stroke to my images. My blog has a white background, as does BP and more often than not, the stroke is needed. I have lightroom set up to automatically add a 1 px stroke when I export images. #10698218
