The National Arboretum had some great flower opportunities, too. #1481682

Nice! I like your composition on this, Stephen.

Y'all should have seen all of the Koi in this pond. #10285296

Well composed Stephen. Which camera did you use on this? There was certainly some wonderful imagery in that Arboretum, not the least of which were all the super colorful Koi that Jeff mentioned. Super job at finding such an interesting subject. #10285460

Beautiful Stephen! This shot portrays the delicate look of the bloom perfectly. I also like your comp. and everything looks good to me. #10285682

Beautiful image Stephen! :~) I really like the grain in this one and the colors. that flower just shines above everything else in the image. I can't think of anything that "needs" changed, but I think a pano of this would make a great alternative image. #10285732

Beautiful Stephen. I like the composition very much. Of course I am staring at the image still waiting for a Koi to swim past. #10285861

I really like this one... you have wonderful focus, sharpness and color!! Perfect as presented! The koi are very colorful! I am sorry I didn't get to stay for this one!! #10286223

Teresa H. Hunt August 22, 2012

Beautiful! I was trying to get a good shot of the lilies but I couldn't get close enough. I didn't even think of pulling out my 100mm macro. Duh!

I couldn't get excited about the Koi fish myself. There are so many Koi ponds and even a Koi farm around here. #10286262

Stephen Shoff August 22, 2012

I agree, Teresa. I have a lot of Koi pictures -- got caught up in the moment -- but I will probably end up with an abstract. I couldn't catch a sharp image with any kind of composition. #10286294

Thank you Stephen. #10286413

I do too, Aimee. Its better than I thought it would be. Just wish the leaves were better. #10295807

All of them are nice and as for the leaves...they're imperfect just as we humans are. Overall you've got some great captures and as I've never seen Koi, I rather like that version.

Trying to play catch up is harder than I remembered!
