RAPTURE

Description

---
From my center-"stage" spot on the floor at the Mummer's Fancy Brigade Finale, each Brigade Captain wound up his team's performance DIRECTLY above me, and actually played to my camera!
----
After a year of preparation that had begun the day after January 1, 2011, this was the rapturous culmination, and the Captains' expressions revealed something way beyond JOY.

You must enter "Smoke" all on its own, Michelle. What a great collection of images! #9899852

Michelle Alton January 03, 2012

I LOVED the one I call "Smoke" but I chopped off some feet on the left. These performances were moving so fast that it was so hard to keep a straight plane. The person I was with shot 2300 photos in 2.5 hours, just to assure one good shot in 10. Even on continuous shot setting, I couldn't shoot that many--only got 800 or so. Whew! #9899889

Rony Sagy January 03, 2012

Wow, these shots are amazing. and how many cameras were you using. I see here at least three, no? I presume all handheld. Fantastic work, Michelle. #9900000

Michelle Alton January 03, 2012

Oops! I see that I clicked the wrong link for camera on one of these shots. I used two cameras--but ended up mostingly using the 7D because it was faster than the 5D Mark II. #9900032

Michelle Alton January 03, 2012

Note: Since everyone seemed to like "Smoke," I worked on it this afternoon, and added a small amount to the bottom of the photo, and cloned in a shoe. I think it works. #9900558
