Paris is a city and county seat of Bear Lake County, Idaho, United States. The sandstone church, designed by Joseph Don Carlos Young and built by Mormon Pioneers, between 1884 and 1889.
This romanesque-style Mormon tabernacle was constructed of red sandstone that was snow-sledded from a quarry 18 miles distant. This place of worship is recognized as one of the true pioneer landmarks of the West and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. A small museum houses
heirlooms and art objects left by the homesteaders.
