This is fantastic capture Kathy! Wow! I would love to capture sometimes something like that. How close he was to you, what lens did you use? Amazing details! #1388577Kathy Coombs June 27, 2011
Hi, I was in a small boat, using a 300 lens. You have to stay a 100 feet away from whales..hard to get, as you never know when they are going to come up! Usually you get tired, put your camera down and then they jump! LOL! #9490637Phyllis H. Burchett July 05, 2011
This is fabulous, love the details and action! #9508277Cindy Bendush July 27, 2012
Wow - what a magnificant capture! We just returned from Kauai and the Big Island. Wrong season for whales though. #10247284Kathy Coombs July 27, 2012
Welcome to our islands..I know, we miss them when they are gone. I can sit on my Lanai with a scope and watch them when they are here. #10247290Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
