This is awesome, Gunther! You've taken a complicated scene, and given it order with your wonderful composition and use of selective desaturation. Well done, and a winner in MY book! (Never been to the trolly station - looks like I need to go...) #175170Gunther Allen October 03, 2004
Hi Mary Ella- Long time! I was searching the city for a great photo opp. when I came across the trolly station in downtown. I've been taking a photography class form Annette Fournet whose work is being shown in the San Diego area. I love the class I'm taking at City College and also love the inner city atmosphere. -G #820465Dan Holm October 04, 2004
Outstanding image, Gunther! Your perspective and use of selective color on this is superb! I agree w/ Mary-Ella: a winner in my book, too! #820494Gunther Allen October 04, 2004
Thank you Dan - I appreciate that you took the time to comment. I really was drawn to this site and will definitely go back to take even more shots. I love it for so many reason. the architecture, mood, street people and characters that hang out there, and the lighiting at night is so high tech, and yet still has that inner city feel. -G #820496Robin L. Thank you Claudia and Jim! A great present for me before I leave on vacation. Maybe I'll get lucky this time? I really enjoy taking city shots, and inner city abstracts. Since I've been mainly concentrating of film that past few months, I have not had a chance to post any of my newest work online yet. Hopefully I'll be able to scan some of the images soon. I again appreaciate your comments and congrats!Michael S. Swaffar November 16, 2004
