Commercial-Property Photographer [Contest Finalists January 2006]
Uploaded: November 02, 2005 20:40:46
This photo was made by taking 5 consecutive shots on a tripod from left to right and then fusing them together using the panarama tool in PS. Then the photo was cropped down to where it fit inside of the framed work of the panarama. Worked colors and contrast also in PS. -Bald Rock at Fairfield Lk

An Amazing image Greg! #2029173Bogdan Grosu November 03, 2005
simply beautifull...unfortunatelly the stiching points are quite visible where the forest meets the sky, but these can be easily corrected in ps...cheers #2030501Greg Briley November 03, 2005
Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm going to put this one back on the drawing board for a rework. #2032852Chris Budny November 08, 2005
Remarkable! I'm so eager to try stitching pics together like this, but I have yet to find a good subject nearby. This is amazing, and the still surface of the water with the trees around it is just beautiful! #2049202Greg Briley November 08, 2005
Thanks, Chris. The stitching tool is very easy to use. I am going to rework this one a bit, but I love nice panaramas. It gives you so much more to look at. #2050819Brian Gritt November 30, 2005
Wow, you are really developing wonderfully. Hope you have found a way to make a living with your camera! One thought for you in the rework: try to straighten the horizon with the measure/rotate arbitrary feature in PS. Killer Shot though! Remember me when you're famous. #2138404Douglas Gould January 26, 2006
I love pans and you did this one just right! Makes me miss the fall... don't get it here in MX. #2343390Life Expressions February 21, 2006

Thank you Angela and Garth for the nice comments. Doug, thanks biggun. Send an email to me when you get to town. We'll have to go out on a shoot. Robin, good to hear from you again. Your gallery is looking great. Judges, thank you for the encouraging feedback. #2459118Sobia Chishti April 12, 2006
Congrates Greg. This is very pretty.Greg Briley April 12, 2006
Hi, Sobia. Thank you for stopping by. This picture is my only experience with stitching photos together so far. 78" wide is quite the image. You should be able to reduce the size of the picture in the image menu in PS and choose the image size option. This should allow you to adjust the size of the photo. Good luck with it and thanks again for stopping by! #2637277Shawn Jennings May 22, 2006
Beautiful image Greg! What lake was this shot from? #2798762Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
