Mystic Waters [69365 Nature ]

These rocks caught my intrest amidst a wonderfully vibrant sunset on Oregon's Coast. The bowl-shaped formation captured the waves, illuminated by the rich light. The spires beyond provided the depth I was looking for so I rendered several abstract images hoping to get something intresting with water textures. I used a Canon 17-40 lens and Singh-Ray 3-stop hard grad and exposed Fuji Velvia 50 for 1 second at F16.

Angela, I used a filter here. I do not use enhancing or special effects filters, but I did use a 3-stop hard grad to control the relative sunset and water exposures. The image appears here very close to the original slide. #2204196Ken Smith December 20, 2005
