Down In The Dumps

My golden, Emi, had a frown on her face for days after the arrival of the new puppy. I just had to photograph her expression. f8, 1/125s, in-home studio, super white backdrop, 2 flash units, Canon 28-135 USM IS lens, handheld.

Awwww, poor Emi! I hope she gets to be friends with the pup. Our Golden and Aussie are inseparable! However, they are only 1 year apart. How old is Emi? This is an incredibly beautiful shot, Barbara. You are such a master at this! #45804Jean Papo July 13, 2003
This is gorgeous, and that expression is priceless! Where do you get the backdrops and knowledge to set up a home studio? All your pictures are fantastic! #141565Tracy Kraljev July 13, 2003

Excellent work Barbra! Great photo! Jean P. I have found backdrops at Kits Camera, as well as light set ups. #141997Barbara K. Breitsameter July 14, 2003
Thank you everyone! No need for concern about Emi; she got over the shock of the puppy in about 2 weeks. Four months later they are friends and sometimes are found napping together.Jean P. I used a super white roll background paper. It is ideal to photograph with, however dogs don't always like because they can slip easily.

I want to apologize for the error made on my part. I resubmitted this image after the death of my beloved golden in this photo, never rechecking if it placed, which it did in July 2003. Thank you Angela for letting me know and drawing this to my attention. I have just written BP to let them know of my error and to remove it from this months finals.Barbara #597133
