Great shot - glad to have a face to go with the photos!! Lucky owl too. #23829Janelle Barry May 26, 2019
This is GREAT, Birdie - a wonderful illustration of your nickname! #23840Patricia Arrance May 26, 2019
Good picture of the two of you. Some shots are just meant for black and white and this is one of them. How did you come about having the owl? #23845Gary H. Minish May 26, 2019
It's a pleasure to meet you .. and your friend .. Birdie! I've rescued a few birds in my time and I know how sweet & sour it is when it's time to let them go. We could use your talents here in Alaska. There are a lot of large birds here, and we find injured ones quite frequently. Keep up the good work, both with the birds and with the photography! #23852Henny Grevelink May 26, 2019
Good composition Birdies! Great picture Wolfgang! ;>0 #23886clifton Mair May 26, 2019
Great photo!! It's good to meet the man behind the camera birie :) #23893Ruth Denton May 26, 2019
I have nothing original to say ;) so I'll just agree with the rest that it's nice to put a face with the name. Great photo! #23930Wolfgang Dolak May 26, 2019
Thank you all for that positive echo. I posted the photo to explain my nick. I saw several portraits of some of you in their homepage bio. Thought I could show the person behind the (sometimes strange :-) ) photographs.Carol Sherman May 26, 2019
Thanks for the info. Even Better for me was to find out that I wasn't the only one who talks to birds and gets response. I've run a domesticated bird rescue for about 8 years now and have had some of my best conversations with them plus learned a lot, once I understood birdese.lolSharon E. Lowe May 26, 2019
Well, the owl is the cutest but birdie is much more handsome!Carol and birdie - what nice things you are doing! We are far too cruel to our animal friends so it is nice to see people giving back - we can't live without them! #24032

Awesome portrait Birdie, and I will echo what has been said, in that it is nice to meet the man behind the name. This shot captures your obvious love for birds, but also shows this bird's obvious love for you (such contented expressions on both your faces). This is a wonderful, wonderful b&w portrait! Keep up the good work, both Birdie and Carol!Cathy :) #24180

Congratulations Birdie on being a finalist! Beautiful shot! I too work for a raptor rehab center so I totally understand the communication! I always get tears in my eyes when I say goodbye to one of our birds! I always hear music when they are released! #32455Monika Sapek May 26, 2019
Congratulations on your winning photo, Birdie!Gary H. Minish May 26, 2019
Birdie, I think it's very appropriate that this is the photo of yours that gets the recognition...after all, it's the essence of what's "birdie". The man, the soul, the closeness with nature, the benefactor of raptors and the photography! Congratulations and may it fuel further and even greater efforts!! #32600Wolfgang Dolak May 26, 2019
Thank you all for your kind and very personal wishes! What a great feeling to know you are all out there!Darren M. Alexander May 26, 2019
