Rhonda,

I admire all your beautiful images of birds. I too love to take pictures of birds, but no matter what camera I use, the clarity is not there. What kind of camera do you use, or lens? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

Hi Lorraine,
I thank you for your wonderful comments, I really appreciate it. I use a Canon EOS D60 and I have a Tamron 70-300mm lens. I also use a Bogen Tripod with a three way head. The tripod is a huge help to keep very steady. These little guys are always on the move, so the less movement on your end the better. I have a lot of different birds visit my yard so instead of moving a lot to get the different birds I try to concentrate on one or two species at a time. Staying in one area and waiting for them. I hope this was not information overload:-)I also hope this is helpful.
You can also email me anytime I would love to hear from you.

Hi Rhonda...

By all means, you did not overload with information. In fact, I certainly appreciate you responding and taking the time!

I have a Minolta XG-1 (my old 35mm) with a Telesor 85-205mm lens. I also have a Nikon Coolpix 995. I must honestly say, I should use a tripod....I guess that's half my battle for clarity! I do have one, but never use it....

I love watching birds and trying to capture the perfect shot....I have 6 different bird feeders in my backyard to attract a variety of birds! In my area, I have the Tufted Titmouse (my favorite) and Cardinals, Yellow Finches, Nuthatch, and my all time Woodpeckers, etc....I keep trying to attract more and more!

Maybe I can capture a shot someday as great as yours!

Thank you again.....it's a pleasure to view your images!

Keep in touch!

Lorraine

Lorraine,
Thank you so much for sharing with me. I absolutely love the birds, I am like you, I want more!

Gary,
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. It is really starting to get cold here so the birds are really starting to show up. I have about 10 cardinals in the yard now. I am so happy that you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoy taking them.

Lorraine,
Thank you. Not everyone is a fan of the ratter:-)

Ruth,
Thank you so very much, it just means the world to me!

Thanks again everyone, really, really means a lot.
