Canon 10d, f/45, 30s, Sigma 105mm Macro, Front Yard, Just Before Sunset, Can you tell I just got a brand macro lens!! It's amazing what you can find when you get up close to an object.

Hi Jeff,This is amazing! It has drawn me in and held my attention trying to work out how you did this. Is it one leaf or six? Very well done, love it!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. This was a shot I took during Brenda Tharp's class Creating Visual Impact (excellent class!!). Her lesson that week motivated me to find this! It is a single leaf in my front yard...partially backlit by sun just before dusk...the gradation of shadows caught my eye, along with the pattern of lines. It is an especially rewarding shot since, from a rather mundane area, I was able to see this shot. And, that is what I constantly strive to do.Anyway, thanks for your nice comments... #2120772
