Great shot! I love the comp. and how you included so much sky! Wonderful! #280831Jim Kinnunen July 19, 2005
Beautiful scene, John!!! #1609876John Tubbs July 19, 2005
Thanks, Jim and Sandy. I took a lot of shots of this place, but the sky was very picturesque and adds to the openness, along with the wheat fields. As an aside, an image of this location won a Finalist in Smithsonian's annual photo contest this year (not my shot, unfortunately, LOL). There were 30,000 shots from 92 countries submitted to Smithsonian and only 16 made Finalist or winners. In an amazing small world story, when my wife, a friend of ours and I were photographing this location, the guy who took the Smithsonian shot actually saw us and stopped to say hi...! #1610017Carol Brill July 19, 2005
I like how you composed this so that powerful sky dwarfs the old buildings, John, wonderful colors and sense of scale here! #1611369John Tubbs July 19, 2005
Thx, Carol! The cloud formation almost gave the impression of circling and highlighting the building. #1612255Julie Gamicchia July 20, 2005

Congratulations, John! This image is so beautiful! Looks really calm and peaceful! #1868600John Tubbs September 22, 2005
Thx, Sandra. I looked at your gallery and saw your nice shots of the Navajo bridge and that general area. Two years ago, we took a motorcycle (plus photography) tour through Utah and went over that bridge. It was about 104 degrees when we were there...we missed the A/C in our car!
