Starting out early sometimes really pays off! Today's new beginning over Lake Macquarie, at Wangi Wangi - 1/160 sec f2.8

Love the way you have framed that brilliant sky with the silhoutted branches etc.Phillip R. Connolly June 11, 2005
Thank you very much, Donna. Taken this morning, as the rainclouds approached our area of NSW, the sky colour you see in this shot is almost as I actually saw it - "red sky in the morning..."! I hope country Victoria A-N-D NSW get something useful out of this current weather system!Phil #1457126

Well Phil, when you're done with the rain - make sure it does a U turn and send it up to Queensland - we have commenced water restrictions here in Brisbane.Donna K. Kilcher June 11, 2005

Lori Carlson June 13, 2005
Wow Phillip! Love the way you have framed this shot and the way the sunset just seems to be reaching for your camera! Great subject and very impactful! :0) #1465572Phillip R. Connolly June 14, 2005
Thank you Lori, of course the wide-angle lens with the camera tilted upward slightly to minimise the grass in the base of the photo will help produce the distortion that you mention. After all that though, the sun and clouds were radiating out to help the image.Phil #1467904
