Wonderful nostalgic photo, Laura! Oddly enough, I did not have that experience as a kid... I grew up in the heart of Chicago and it's not the way it was. Now however, I DO know the mail-woman pretty well -- ! No milkman, though. There is a food-delivery guy (Swan) who always waves! Cool thing about these small towns; I don't think they've changed that much! I do love these vintage figures, though. And they do represent another, kinder Era. Great shot! #6970587Ron McEwan January 02, 2009
Great work here Laura, I guess we tell our ages when we tell of our memories LOL. #6971055Lorna Shutter January 02, 2009

Yep! Not bad for a major metropolitan city! I spend a lot of time gardening in my front yard so we say hi every time I see him. He gives the mail to Lily (my pup) and she brings it into the house for me! LOL! #6976177Laura E. Swan January 03, 2009
I am glad we all got to experience the sweeter more simple days of our youth. I feel sorry for the kids of today in many ways. Those times are a big part of me, and likely for you all!Lily sounds like a wonderful friend Courtney. When I was little my Mom called me this! :) xx -Laura #6976934
