D.J.K...I agree this is a very adorable picture. It is so cute. put being a photo major..i get the plessure of learning to critique. one of our major flaws in having the subject in the middle of the picture. yeah I agree at time having the subject in the middle of the picture is fine..but how do you know? #1526872Lori S. Aschbrenner June 27, 2005
Congrats, DJ! #1527716Dan Smith June 27, 2005
Bjana:im glad you like the picture...I ahve people tell me alot here lately that you should not center your subject ....But... if you ever look at most pro-pictures your focal point is normaly the center of the photo....I dont have any training at this I just take as many pictures as I can afford to ...and over the years that is quite a few...So when I see somthing good I compose my shot so that it looks good in my viewfinder....and imagine what it would look like framed on my wall ....Im sorry if that is not technicaly correct but im still a work in progress.......LOL #1527884Dan Smith June 27, 2005
Thank you Lari !!!! love the B & W photo's in your gallery #1527897Laura E. OConnor July 21, 2005
Sorry I missed this last month! I just caught it on the homepage and love it!I'd say by your win that your centering the subject must have worked! I get caught doing the same "taboo" thing, but I think that in the case of this photo, it needed to be centered for close cropping and the pole and position of the kittens creates movement for your eye to follow. I'm new at this too, probably newer than you from the sounds of it, but I think it's a darn fine photo!
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WIN! :) #1618988
