Being a landscape and architectural photographer, I normally don’t use models but I was very inspired by a film “The Emperor in August” to experiment for a low-key, high contrast image. I asked my friends to pose in this spacious room of a condo in mid downtown San Francisco. During the post processing I realized that black and white works better for my purpose. The result turned out to be more like film noir.
