These ancient boulders are a big draw card for photographers in New Zealand .... I was however astounded that a well known photographer kept standing on rocks, or inbetween them, and encouraged his photography group to do the same (all hand holding their cameras) whilst other groups of photographers on tripods were already in place to take slow shutter speed shots at sunset .... I decided to leave this lone photographer in this image (having cloned out others) as he inadvertently has given the boulders great perspective :)
Taken while on our New Zealand photo tour in April .... dates for our next Photo Tour with Ken Koskela in April 2017 to be announced soon.

Beautiful image Renee. Great to see you have made it to my neck of the woods. I have recently been here myself and unfortunately struck the same thing myself. People standing on the boulders are the reason why so many have collapsed over the years. #1657272Teresa L. Brooks May 08, 2016
I love the boulders and the soft blue light #11472044Reynaldo D. Reyes May 11, 2016
This is indeed a great photo op with those boulders on the foreground and the lone photographer trying to make the shot. Awesome view that perhaps someday, I could visit and see for myself. For now, I'll just enjoy your work. Thanks for sharing Renee. #11473273Terry Piotraschke May 30, 2016
