A 7-frame stitched pano of the nave of Washington National Cathedral. A thousand or so chairs were removed from the nave for a week in February, dramatically affecting the sense of space. That, along with the stained glass window in the center of the image, known as the Space Window (featuring a piece of moon rock from Apollo 11) suggested the title.

Thank you very much, Janet -- as a volunteer tour guide at this cathedral, I'm delighted if one of my images of the cathedral inspires someone to visit! Please let me know if you make it to DC sometime! #11466956Pat Harry April 29, 2016
Wow, Christopher. This is just amazing! Amazing work, and what a great opportunity to be able to shoot with the chairs removed. Absolutely stunning. Very well done. #11467327Chris Budny April 29, 2016
Thank you so much, Pat! I'm tickled pink how well this (finally) turned out, and how startlingly different the space feels without those chairs! Can't wait for the next "Seeing Deeper" week of chair removal, Feb. 2017. #11467570Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
