An awesome capture of this owl, Ellen! Great light, BG and clarity! #1638958Teresa Burnett October 03, 2015
Wonderful capture of this handsome little fellow, Ellen!! They suspect this species has been responsible for the decline of the spotted owls in the west. It appears they are enough larger than the male spotted owls to consider them prey, and have acted accordingly. However, they are breeding with the female spotted owls, so we are seeing a whole new species coming into existence. Isn't nature simply amazing!! #11381702Leslie McLain October 03, 2015

Right into my favorites Ellen as I love these birds of prey and am fascinated with their hunting abilities. On top of that I think they are beautiful birds as you so well show here. Gorgeous colors and detailed features stand out. Annie and I hope your day is blessed. #11381855Tiia Vissak October 04, 2015
