Another Day at the Bucksnort Saloon

This was from one of those we-don't-know-what-we'll-find photo outings that turned into a lot of fun. I went with a couple of photo friends to Blackwater, a little Missouri town that had almost disappeared after it ceased to be a major railroad stop. It is working to remake itself as a tourist destination, with a refurbished old hotel, some specialty shops, and the Bucksnort Saloon. Much wasn't open, but the proprietor of the Bucksnort and cohorts showed up and invited us in. Great fun, great people (in period costumes), cold sarsaparilla, and a super ragtime piano player. If you're ever in the area, give it a look. You can find Blackwater's page on the Internet.
