Shower Power [Monthly Theme]
Uploaded: March 09, 2014 20:27:38
A meteor shower is a celestial event in which a number of meteors are observed to radiate, or originate, from one point in the night sky. These meteors are caused by streams of cosmic debris called meteoroids entering Earth's atmosphere at extremely high speeds on parallel trajectories. Most meteors are smaller than a grain of sand, so almost all of them disintegrate and never hit the Earth's surface. Intense or unusual meteor showers are known as meteor outbursts and meteor storms, which may produce greater than 1,000 meteors an hour.[1] Source: Wikipedia

Let's hope we don't see THAT in real life! The perspective and capture here are BRILLIANT, SSSister.
And the background works REALLY well.

I really love how the sky lits up the reflections and give it color :) #10996704

Brilliant DD work Sister Swanee! You did an amazing job with this one! #10997232Debbie Bray March 10, 2014 1
Lou Lou, I just love your creativeness here, and also the spiel on the meteor shower! Some years ago, the southern hemisphere actually got to see this rare event. We sat up all night to see shooting stars zooming everywhere, like fireworks falling to the ground, it was absolutely beautiful. The problem was, the streams were not really strong enough to photograph. #10997300Cindy Bendush March 10, 2014
Sister Swanee/Lou Lou! You have more nicknames! Just to keep us on our toes huh? This is a masterpiece! Your creative touch took an ordinary image and turned it into a extraordinary work of art - bravo! #10997518Laura E. Swan March 11, 2014
Hi Again my SSSKiki, and Newbies Avril, Colette, Monnie-Monnie-Monnie Monnieeeee, (She doesnt stay attached so I can call her a nick name of my choice! HeeHee! SEE PEOPLE!? You should stay attached and keep an eye on your nicknames you are given!) and also Hello again Jill, Brother John, Debbie- Doobie (? Hmmmm. 60's child??) and Moon Goddess Queen of the Butterflies!First I have to tell you...I usually do not to images of IMPENDING DOOM, if ever, but golly these Hollywood Movies of Dooms Day inspire me to create my own pictures. I have always loved outer-space (no wise cracks please) and am trying my hand at a few things there that have not been posted yet.
Next, SSSKiki, I really lucked out with this effect and it emanated color down into the glass wall of the right side there because of those pole stretch gliders they offer on some of the filters there. Stretch and move from points in the center! HA! I just played with the two bars until I got the colors the way they felt right for the illusion of reflection! :D Thanks for noticing!
To Debbie: What a night that must have been!?!
And to Moon G. : Oh if you only knew all of my pet names. Someday when we both have 30 minutes I will read the list off to you. :))))) Lou Lou was the first one I ever had in my life, BTW. As a little kid. My older Sister was sure I was the Lou Lou (LuLu) that had a tug boat with a bell. Lol...
Thank you ALL for the super comments and your great visits. :)
I really appreciate them and YOU a lot!
-ME! :) <------ Thought I'd make it short for a change. :D

Pom, Pom, Pom. You little genius, you (with a bit of help from your latest toy). I loved this in thumbnail form; then, when the Big Picture appeared, I had to push my jaw back up before I could comment on the image.Laura E. Swan March 11, 2014
Oh, Mare! :D Thank you for your REALLY delightful comments!! :) I can only take part credit for these new creations. SSSKiki taught me how to use this neato tool and without her help I'd just be doing macro's of kitty dander or something to pine away the winter hours :DThat being said - - - IT REALLY DOES LOOK KINDA COOL, huh!!!? :D I can almost feel that big rock passing over except in my imagination it's going really slowly and just passes us up! :) SO STAR TREK! :D
Well, I am feeling inspired. I can't wait to see what this new tool can do, too! :D HeeHee!
Thanks so much for each word. All of you!
-SSSLala, Swanee, Lou Lou, Rain Pebble, Pommy and let's throw Miss Rose in there, too, since I know Mr. Tree will be along one of these days! :D #10998302
