Hi Linda, the ball is called a "Gumball" from a Sweet Gum tree. As a kid we use to collect them am use them as Christmas decorations during the holidays. Hope this helps...great capture. #1565715Linda D. Lester March 04, 2014

One would think something like this would be so simple, but when we get to see what the naked eye does, that is anything but simple.
