Actually, this is a bit blurry on enlargement, but I think it's a cool photo. At first glance, I thought it was something entirely different.Nice shadow detail. #3392Donna R. Moratelli December 04, 2001

Oh, please. Don't sweat the submit button problem. I still do the same thing myself, and I've been here for over a year (recent extended sabbatical notwithstanding).Your chair photo is good, Nikki. I hope I did not give the impression that I did not appreciate your work. There are good and not-so-good elements in everyone's work here--hence the reason they are here in the first place--to get advice and support from other photogs. I call myself a beginner, even though I've been shooting pix for...well, for more years than I care to admit, but I have only recently taken the time to understand the principles behind the science AND the art. Until I sell my first photo, I will continue to call myself a novice, and even after I sell that first photo, I will probably be reluctant to call myself a "professional." I will always consider myself "in training," I think. I'm much better at analyzing everyone else's pix than I am at implementing the principles to my own work. I guess that makes me a perpetual student.
Be sure to post your next chair photos if you plan to reshoot. I love shadow details and black and white.
cheers! #3462
