afternoon shadows on an adobe wall (shadows on a textured surface)

I really like this. It has given me some great ideas for shadow photography. What settings did you use for this? Is the shadow from sunlight or did you use artificial light to make it? I've never tried to actually photograph a shadow, although they do seem to pop up pretty well when I DON'T want them :) #3903Jeff Galbraith February 26, 2002
Hi Donna,Carolyn M. Fletcher February 26, 2002
Great shot, Donna. Good idea..Isn't it nice to be able to comment again? I was feeling strangled there for a while.Wanted to say things and couldn't. #5754Donna R. Moratelli February 26, 2002
Hi, I thank everyone for all of the nice comments! Bradley, This photo was taken about an hour before the sun set. This is an example of one of those annoying-type shadows that everyone tries to stay away from. The exposure was probably at f8 or 5.6. I took this about 5 years ago and don't have records. I think the idea of taking pictures of just shadows can open up the doors to many creative ideas and beautiful pictures. Good luck #5755Donna R. Moratelli August 27, 2002
