Two Drops
Uploaded: August 15, 2010 07:14:43
Many of the Louisiana plantations had large metal bowls like this on the grounds. I believe they must have once been used as watering troughs but generally are now planted with water lilies. Wandering around one morning I found this one, mirroring the sky. Condensation was dripping occasionally from the eaves of the barn above and I waited for these two drops to hit.

Excellent reflection, and there's a wonderful lesson in this one. Patience is the most important tool NOT found in the camera bag. It's often required for making better photos. Your patience really paid off big on this one, Mitch. Those two water-drop circles make a huge difference. #8839677Tammy Espino August 17, 2010

Dear Photo Friend: I feel that something has changed at Better Photo but cannot tell you just what has happened. I have been here since 2003 and most every month I have written to all the winners telling them how their work touches me. I have witnessed photographs that bring tears to my eyes and colors that are unbelievable, now I am worried that like all good things that it will not be here the next time I look.Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
