Corrosive Art [Contest Finalists December 2012]

Art is everywhere. You just have to look. Right at the moment I am doing studies of a disintegrating fire hydrant. I take shots in both the daytime and at night with a flash. I do not recall which this is.
It is taken with my Canon 100mm Macro Lens set at f2.8....wide open for selective focus.
This was shot in RAW, as all my shots are....and developed in Adobe RAW Editor 7. It is presented as shot with maybe a bit of boost of saturation.
