This is a composite of two shots. One of a rail tie
and the other of the train of course.
The tie is the base.
Make another layer with the image of the train.
use the back ground eraser to take away anything in
the train photo you don't want.
Things usually start to take shape at this point.
Applied all changes to train image at this point such as curves,hue/saturation etc. plus some dodging of the head lights to get them a bit brighter.
Here's the tricky part -
