Wonder of Worthington [Photography Contest Nature & Landscape Photos]
Uploaded: July 03, 2012 22:25:18
Worthington Glacier is a local Icon and one of the easiest glaciers to get to as the Richardson Highway runs right by the foot of it. In order to get the resolution I wanted for a very large print I shot this as a stitched panorama using two rows of 8 vertical photos per row. It prints huge without blowing it up but unfortunately you can't see all the minute detail at this display size.
All frames are: ISO-160, f16.0, 1/640, 120mm (equiv. to 180mm)

Because each of the 16 frames was shot at 180mm, there is plenty to see when you zoom in and look close. Here is a closer look near the foot of the glacier (center of the left half) You can see a piece of the road going up to a viewpoint. It give you a sense of scale. #1472871Gary H. Here's a zoom into the center of the left side of the first crop. This shows the road better and if you look close you can see a road sign and what is obviously motorhomes a the visitor's center. Note that this is still not a 100% crop of the original. #10213346Usman M. Bajwa July 04, 2012
