Workout in the Morning Fog [Photography Contest Man Made Architecture Transportation Industry Pictures]
Uploaded: June 26, 2012 10:46:38
The early morning light is very subdued because of the fog producing an interesting effect on the objects in the scene. By converting the image to black and white I believe you can better show the natural lighting.

Thank you all for your comments. Susan asks, where were you, buried in the sand, If you ever get to Ocala, Florida you will be amazed at the number of thoroughbred horse stables. They are generally quite welcoming. This image was taken at the Ocala Stud Thoroughbred Stallion Farm.A short related story: I had my big lens (2.8L, 300mm prime) and as the morning workout progressed I got the bright idea that I should lay down on my stomach and catch the horses as they made their final turn. I was allowed to stand right up to the rail. As they made their turn I heard several voices shouting to me to stand up, stand up. I had no idea that my being on the ground would spook the horses. I'll never do that again. No, for this shot I was standing erect.
The fog burned off fairly early but the effect was striking. #10253482
