Long Colonnade on the Esplanade [Contest Finalists April 2012]
Uploaded: April 10, 2012 00:26:01
The Esplanade is an interesting street in downtown Toronto, ON, Canada. At the moment, it is the site of a good deal of construction, probably of condo apartment towers. It is some of the already established buildings there and its proximity to the famous St. Lawrence Market (judged to be the #1 market in the world by National Geographic Magazine)and the iconic flairon building that are what make it interesting. Among the buildings on the Eslplanade are PAL (the Performing Arts Lodge, an apartment building for retired actors and others who worked in the performing arts fields) and a co-op apartment building owned and operated by OWN (the Older Women's Network). Also, there is a large Novotel hotel, which is fronted by the colonnade I've shown in this image.
