White Water [Contest Finalists November 2004]
Uploaded: November 02, 2004 14:50:00
Firehole Canyon in Yellowstone National Park. Taken with a Canon EF 28-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS Lens on Kodak Ultra Color 100 film. The exact exposure was not recorded, but I used a tripod with a slow shutter speed to really emphasize the rapids. Scanned by my photo store and contrast adjusted slightly in Microsoft Picture Editor.

A beautiful photograph! Great depth of field, point of view, composition and focus (did I miss anything?). The shutter timing looks perfect. Congratulations on a photo worth framing! #184838Colette M. Metcalf November 02, 2004

DiAnna and Colette,Thank you for your kind words about my photo. There are so many wonderful photos here to look at. It's really nice when someone takes the time to say a few encouraging words. I appreciate it. I took a few minutes to look at each of your galleries. Both of you have some really great pictures, so I am really flattered by your nice words about my pic.
