This is in the June Lake area and was shot on my trip with Stephen last year. #1423254Debbra Bailey November 15, 2011
Wow is that a gorgeous place Mike! Goodness - it looks unreal! If there was room, I might move the crop so that the mountains are not so perfectly centered on the edges, but that is just me looking for something to comment on! lol #9806070Debbie E. Payne November 15, 2011
Wow! I "phinally phound" my way into the new site! I love the color and the comp Mike, nothing to change as far as I'm concerned. Looks like you had glorious conditions for this trip! I love blue and yellow together. #9806270Michael Kelly November 15, 2011
Thanks Deb. Sorry this is full frame but I see what you are getting at. Perhaps next year I can angle the shot a little more. What I liked here was the double V shape of the valley coming down and the trees going up in the center.Thank you Debbie - welcome aboard. I appreciate the wows from both of you. The conditions were wonderful and the color was breathtaking. #9806528

Yeah, this is pretty fantastic! I agree that the double V is really cool. #9806646Debbie E. Payne November 15, 2011
So....is it your "W" for the challenge?? #9806678Teresa H. Hunt November 15, 2011
Wow Mike this is really stunning! I love the colors. And the double V is pretty cool :) #9806682Michael Kelly November 15, 2011
Thanks so much Jeff.Debbie it is a little weak for the challenge, but I may have to go with it as the only other shot I have found is crescent moon for a C which is also a little weak.
Thanks Teresa. This is such a beautiful are in the fall it is hard to describe. The photos don't do it justice. You just look around constantly and go wow and want to shoot until your fingers bleed. Most of the shots don't even get as good a this though so it is a real personal experience. #9806889

Beautiful image Mike. Love the color, the reflections and view.I am distracted by whatever that is in the lower left corner, and my eye is contently drawn there. Would suggest using an 8x10 full height crop starting in the lower right. This will require a very small bit of cloning in the lower left but will eliminate the distraction without disturbing your comp. #9808011

Beautiful shot Mike and thanks for telling me where it is. So now I have been there on Google earth and wandered all around the area. I love technology! #9808472Carla Capra Anderson November 16, 2011
A real stunning image, Michael. I love it as presented.Michael Kelly November 16, 2011
Thanks Dale - it's a rock. I am afraid I entered this one today.Thank you Peter. If you get to take that road trip come in the fall and we can head down that way.
Thank you so much Carla. #9809406

I absolutely love the colors in this one. What a beautiful shot!! #9810704Debbra Bailey November 17, 2011
The rock doesn't bother me... it actually creates ANOTHER V when paired with the weeds in the other corner :) #9813448Michael Kelly November 17, 2011
Thank you so much Beth.Thank you Deb. You are right and I did not even notice that. Good eyes. #9814363

I'm sorry I'm so late getting back everyone on this. The whole month of December, seems like a whirlwind. I thank each and every one of you for taking the time to leave me such nice comments.
