In a seemingly academic attitude this man seriously studies his daily newspaper in the corner of my favourite café.
This caffeinated candid was shot inside the Crèma Espresso Bar in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia.
Canon EOS 40D with Canon 28-135mm IS USM lens: RAW, f/5.6 @ 1/125sec, 85mm, ISO 320.
Lightroom 3 & Photoshop CS5.
PS: After a lot of thought I have decided to change the title from 'Chin Warmer #2' to 'Solomon'. I think it suits the image much better.
Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/125 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 320, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 85.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 40D

The Making of 'Chin Warmer':Same day, same place as 'Deep Thought' but a different time on this blustery, wet and chilly late spring day.
My Port Macquarie Panthers Camera Club mates and I had been driven inside due to the weather so I made sure I got a seat that would give me a good view of the small elevated table in the corner. It is a great place for my innocent candid subjects to sit as there is light coming in from behind and to their left, creating a good deep shadow in the corner behind them.
This photograph is the type of shot I was originally after when I shot 'Deep Thought' so I was a fortunate photographer that day to nail both.
Enjoy!
