Absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations, John! #9699978John E. Steinway September 27, 2011
Thanks Merna, Ann, and Courtenay. Your kind words and support are appreciated so much.Ann I've only been to the Tetons twice and just got very lucky. Woke up before dawn and could tell something was going to happen, but didn't know what. Found a good spot to shoot, set up my tripot, and waited and waited and waited. Finally it happened. I could not believe my eyes and nearly knocked over my setup I was so excited. #9700933

What a great story John! Everyone who's ever looked thru a lens and pressed a shutter release hopes for a moment just like that. This shot nearly knocked ME over when I saw it .. truly, I've NEVER seen such a wonderous image of the Grand Tetons in all my travels thru that area over the years.
I've learned quite a lot from your postings this year. Today's lesson is PATIENCE ... and a big thermos of coffee for that early hour! #9701087
