What great details, Mike. Wonderful close framing, too. Should have saved this for next month's Monthly Theme -- Expressions, I understand. #8863862Michael Umbreit August 30, 2010
Thanks for the very kind comments! Nikki - I don't even pay attention to the monthly themes anymore. I have enough trouble just getting out and shooting. :-) Mike #8871757Amanda D. Austwick August 30, 2010

I love your zoo shots, Mike -- this is my favorite and so my fave of your August entries :) I love the full frame, the expression (as I said before) and the wonderful details and rich color. The other two I really like are Mexican Gray Wolf and Tree Hugger. Love the sense of movement in the wolf shot and the giraffe just makes me laugh -- eye catching comp there, too. Good luck in the BP contest. #8893991Michael Umbreit September 12, 2010
Thanks! This and my rhino shot are my favorites from my zoo trip. :-) Mike #8896830Jeana Clark May 18, 2011
