Gold Ribbon Liathach [Contest Winner Pool February 2011 Nature Photography and Landscapes]
Uploaded: February 26, 2011 15:54:01
Loch Clair, Torridon, Scotland
It was not a particularly promising morning standing around freezing various parts of my anatomy at Loch Clair with the ominous bulk of Liathach dominating my view and doubled in reflection in the partially frozen Loch. As the morning progressed and for a brief instant, the rising sun found a gap between both cloud and hills and painted a golden ribbon of sunlight across the dark shoulder of the mountain which neatly reflected beneath the ice skin.

Worth the wait for this gem, Ian. I hope you still have all your fingers and toes, nicely pink. I really love your writing too. I think I could see this image, even if you hadn't shown it! #9263951Graeme yew Chow March 20, 2011
