It points to the Mighty Rio Grande [Contest Finalists March 2011]

This is where I hiked this week-end. You are looking at Mexico on the right and Texas on the left. The "Twin Caves" have pictographs 4,500 years old. More recently Russell Skiles proposed to his fiance in the most left cave which is now called "Proposition cave". This is the the international boundary where you hear about all the Mexican Drug wars happening. Yep it is the mighty and beautiful Rio Grande despite what century you are in. Enjoy. ISO 200, 17mm FL, F/11 AP mode, 1/100 sec & CP
Exif: F Number: 11, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/100 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 17.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS-1D Mark IV

If you look very closely you will see some artificial flowers at the base of the photo that were just left by one of the relatives of the owner who sprinkled ashes of their spouse here and returns annually to honor that person and this very special place with those flowers. This is no easy place to get to and as about as wild as it gets in America. This is land west of the Pecos that was ruled by Judge Roy Bean, Mile Canyon, Langtry, Texas. #1358891David Phalen March 07, 2011
